Description

The Sampdoria Pazzini Jersey 2010-11 Champions League represents a dramatic chapter in the club’s modern history. After finishing 4th in Serie A during the 2009-10 season, Sampdoria qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since their famous runner-up finish in 1992. However, the 2010-11 campaign proved to be a season of highs and lows, as they were eliminated by Werder Bremen in the Champions League play-off round, eventually dropping into the Europa League group stage. Domestically, the club suffered a shocking relegation, finishing 18th in Serie A despite Pazzini contributing 6 league goals.

Giampaolo Pazzini, nicknamed “Il Pazzo” (The Madman), joined Sampdoria from Fiorentina in January 2009 for a reported fee of €9 million. During his tenure with the Blucerchiati from 2009 to 2011, he made 75 appearances and scored 36 goals across all competitions, forming a lethal attacking partnership with Antonio Cassano. His prolific form earned him a high-profile transfer to Inter Milan in January 2011 for a reported fee of around €19 million.

This jersey features the classic Kappa design with the traditional Blucerchiati (blue-ringed) colors. The absence of a sponsor gives this piece a cleaner, rarer aesthetic compared to standard retail versions.
